Sensors for Cathodic Protection
Presented by Thomas Theissen, VP of Engineering at BORIN Manufacturing, Inc.
Modern cathodic protection systems rely on more than a single measurement. Today’s sensor assemblies integrate reference electrodes, AC/DC coupons, native coupons, and ER probes—driven by real-world field challenges and evolving industry standards.
This session explores how these technologies work together to improve monitoring accuracy, compliance, and long-term asset protection.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- The components of modern CP sensor assemblies and how they function
- How field challenges have shaped current sensor design
- The role of standards from AMPP and ISO in guiding implementation
- The benefits of integrated monitoring for more reliable CP data
